Class trip

Today was our first class outing! As part of our Buildings and Structures unit, we visited the office of a construction company - Menarco Development Corporation to find out about all the work that goes into creating a structure. We met architects and engineers and asked insightful questions about the materials used, the length of time and money it takes to create a building and how buildings are made. We learnt about the the drawings, the small scale and full scale models that are created in the planning process, and got the chance to watch builders and contractors at work.
